To achieve its foreign policy goals the U.S. relies on aerial bombings, invasions and terrorism; unfortunately, other countries follow our example. U.S. militarism is a cancer destabilizing the globe.
Another great article! Thank you, John! Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any organized resistance to this in the US. I'm not sure why, but without internal resistance we are doomed to being controlled by this clique of militarists.
Thank you, Tom. Alas, I sense you are correct. There are only, (correct me if I am wrong), two senators willing to challenge the Party of War. I have no idea how we could bump that figure up to even 15, let alone a majority. I mean, what politician can resist the vast amounts of 'campaign donations' from the war industries...?
IMHO, change will not come from politicians. I think real change in this case can only come about through a massive awakening of the minds of the common folk. Thus far I don't see that happening as I see no evidence of genuine organized resistance with leaders brave enough and wise enough to take on that challenge. I keep hoping to see it emerge.
Any American politician who wanted to change something in the existing way of American life would go to Kennedy. For every "upstart" there is an Oswald. You need to change the situation from below. You wouldn’t want to wish for a second civil war, but only by going through the flames can the United States be cleansed. In any case, it's up to you to decide. Greetings from Russia 😉

Honest, probably 😁
