John, you had a remarkable opportunity to interview a man of great import, experience, and knowledge. Dr Piotrovsky's vocation is to preserve and educate. His dedication to this task of preserving culture(s) via their artworks through the ages is noble, and vitally important.

Dr. Piotrovsky honors and builds up. People across the globe learn, and learn to appreciate history and beauty.

I am enlightened and encouraged after reading your interview. I thank you! Art History is so very important, for truth is shared through a citizen's eyes and talented hands.

I wish that Dr. Piotrovsky,'s and Geraldine Norman's book had been published in English. I would love to read it. Perhaps someone will translate and publish it. Meanwhile. my quest is to learn more about the Hermitage. I have one of the doctor's books reserved at our local public library, and I will seek out more books that showcase the museum's collection.
