Week in Review: Donbass uprising anniversary; Kiev confirms plan for genocide; Spy scandal update; Nukes in Belarus
Considering the plethora of NATO propaganda, disinformation and lies promoted in western media, I'm doing a brief weekly review to explain what's really happening.
Donbass: 9 years of defiance
On April 7, Donbass celebrated its 9th anniversary of independence from the radical nationalist regime in Kiev, whose invasion in spring 2014 has killed thousands of Donbass civilians, forced millions to flee, left widespread destruction and economic ruin, and brought the world to the brink of nuclear war and extermination.
Self-determination has long been a sacred principle of international law. On April 7, 2014, the people of Donbass exercised that right, and declared independence from Ukraine in the wake of the country’s collapse following a western-funded violent insurrection in Kiev that brought an illegitimate nationalist regime to power.
We didn’t understand at the time, but on April 7, 2014 the era of multi-polarity began. The world changed forever when one of Europe’s most forgotten and remote regions rose up in rebellion against the liberal-globalist new world order. The people of Donbass said “No” to NATO expansion and militarism. Today, Donbass celebrates not only independence, but also nine years of anti-globalist resistance.
The people of Donbass are famous for their strength and character. Their struggle for freedom has given hope to many nations around the world that also resist liberal-globalist expansion. For example, in the past few months, more and more nations are leaving the American orbit, most notably Saudi Arabia, precisely because they want to preserve their national traditions and sovereignty.
Decades from now, when western liberal-globalism will be remembered as another failed violent utopian ideology, the history books will write that NATO expansion and militarism were stopped in Donbass.
Kiev confirms plan for genocide
This past week, a two-minute video clip came to my attention where Ukrainian presidential advisor Mikhail Podolyak called for ethnic cleansing of Russians in Crimea, to exterminate all traces of Russian life and culture. I then found the original and complete interview, and was surprised it’s dated Feb 26, and was aired by Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), a Cold War-era media outlet funded by the U.S. government.
In the six weeks since that interview aired, not a single western media outlet nor a single western politician has condemned Podolyak’s call for ethnic cleansing. Well, NATO and Ukrainian calls for genocide against Russians are not new. But Podolyak’s comments are the most clear-cut to date and they came on a U.S. state media outlet, leaving no doubt about NATO’s plans for Crimea.
A NATO/ Ukrainian offensive is expected by the end of May. Failure to do so would be a PR disaster for Kiev, which feels pressured to justify NATO’s $120 billion investment in the Ukrainian army (UAF). About 100,000 heavily armed troops are ready for combat; though some sources say the UAF numbers could be as much as 400,000. It’s shaping up to be the biggest land battle since 1945.
What are the chances of NATO/ UAF success? Not good. The Russian Air Force is pounding UAF supply centers and fuel depots. There’s a palpable mood of defiance among Russians, and many are willing to fight to protect their country. And every violent act by NATO/ Ukrainian terrorists, as well as Kiev’s persecution of the Orthodox Church, only serves to enrage the Russian people and strengthen resistance.
Russians are taking this existential threat seriously. While the American people don’t want to fight Russia, a small group of liberal-globalists do. And they control all the levers of power — Wall Street and the Federal Reserve; all major media; Big Tech; the military-industrial complex; secret services; the Pentagon; Hollywood; etc.
As I said last June, it’s highly probable that Moscow has lured NATO into a trap in Donbass. By keeping the frontline static, Moscow has seduced NATO to believe it can win, if only it keeps throwing more money and weapons into the boiling cauldron. The Bear has some tricks up his sleeve. Expect the unexpected this spring.
In the slim chance that NATO/ Ukraine succeeds in its offensive, Russia might strike command and control centers in Kiev, and possibly in Poland, and use tactical nukes, which could escalate into World War 3. Hence, a decisive Russian victory this summer is actually in the interests of the American people and global community.
Update: WSJ spy scandal
Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich was officially charged with spying for the U.S., and faces 20 years in prison. Russia’s FSB said Gershkovich, “collected information constituting a state secret about the activities of one of the enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex.” Apparently, the defense factory in question designs Russia’s Kalibr cruise missiles that NATO can’t stop.
The WSJ denies the allegations, and western media praise Gershkovich as a martyr for press freedoms, and demonize President Putin. The New York Times condemned the arrest and “Putin’s brutality”, publishing a bizarre image of Putin drenched in blood-red, looking like a vampire. This is clownish World War I style propaganda.
A review of Gershkovich’s articles reveal that they echo U.S. propaganda and support U.S. foreign policy goals. Never once has he challenged Washington’s hostile policies towards Russia, and he regurgitates Ukrainian talking points. Never has he mentioned the mistake of NATO’s eastward expansion, as well as nine years of Ukrainian war crimes in Donbass and its plans for genocide of the ethnic Russians.
If Gershkovich was researching defense factories and trying to gain access to sensitive information, then, Yes, that’s a violation of Russian law. Journalists are not above the law. It’s peculiar that many who think Gershkovich is above the law also say that Donald Trump isn’t above the law. Yes, Russia has a right to enforce its laws.
Only full transparency can help us understand what really happened. The WSJ must come clean, and publish its email correspondence between editors and Gershkovich. Was he truly researching Russia’s defense industry? And if Yes, then Why, and on whose orders? Failure to allow a transparent and independent investigation will only cast doubts on the WSJ’s integrity and prevent Gershkovich’s release.
Russian nukes to Belarus
As part of efforts to deter a possible NATO invasion, Moscow will deploy tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus. They’re defensive, designed for battlefield strikes. When counting the Polish military, NATO has several hundred thousand troops on Belarus’ border. Also, Ukrainian and NATO sabotage groups probe the border.
Not surprisingly, any effort by Belarus and Russia to bolster defenses is depicted by western media as ‘aggressive’. They omit the fact that the U.S. has 100 nuclear weapons in five NATO states: Belgium; Germany; Italy; Netherlands; and Turkey. Also, the U.K. and France have nuclear arsenals; with each around 250 warheads.
We are one the verge of nuclear war and the destruction of human civilization. But it certainly doesn’t feel that way. Many people go about their lives oblivious to the Damocles sword that hangs over our civilization. Whatever happened to the Peace Movement, like the one in the early 1980s?
We are reaping the fruits of 30 years of misguided and reckless NATO expansion. Back in the late 1990s, leading geopolitical experts warned not to expand NATO eastward, because doing so would eventually lead to war with Russia, which naturally cannot tolerate a hostile military bloc on its borders.
Unfortunately, a new generation has come to power in the West— incredibly ignorant, incompetent and reckless. They are blinded by radical liberal ideology and an insatiable thirst for global power and empire.
A very comprehensive, down-to-the-latest piece on the Ukraine conflict and all major related issues. Provides the clearest insight I have seen so far that our man in Russia, Evan Gershkovich, might indeed be a spy. Based on the biased manner he had been covering the NATO/US confrontation of Russia, he was never the best fit to be sent to do any journalist work outside the western realm. The WSJ kind of set him up to be caught---unwittingly as that might have been..
The neocons manipulating President Biden are oblivious to the Common Sense awakening to the perils of brinkmanship when President Kennedy realized how close this World came to self-annihilation during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. He was then moved to seek Peace and Common Humanity with the Russians.
In June 1963, Kennedy uttered the essential truth that can keep us alive today: “Above all, while defending our own vital interests, nuclear powers must avert those confrontations which bring an adversary to a choice of either a humiliating retreat or a nuclear war. To adopt that kind of course in the nuclear age would be evidence only of the bankruptcy of our policy–or of a collective death-wish for the world.”
Talking and thinking like that was what got President Kennedy eliminated later that year because it was anathema to those who wanted perpetual WAR with the Russian Soviets to be the Status Quo, all the while demanding ever more discretionary spending to be re-directed away from US Civilian needs for the ever bigger, year after year, US DoD Budget in conjunction with the additional cost of Homeland Security as Americans are becoming more insecure than ever before with increased mass shootings as the US Economic Straitjacket tightens.
Americans are blind to the practical realities the US ARMS INDUSTRIES are making a killing off the Ukraine WAR like never before!
